For thousands of years mankind has chosen to best places to setle. The archeoogical excavation that is being carried out in Kusadasi Kadıkalesi ( Anaia) reveals that mankind settled in Kusadasi for living for almost 5000 years.

According to the antique geographer strabo the legendary Mycenaean king Agamemnon built the of Pygela in Kusadasi, the first resort and rehabilitation center of history for his soldiers, who got tired and sick during the war of Troy.
